Building Maintenance Worker

Position:

Nature of position:

Permanent Full-Time
37.5 hours per week; Monday – Friday 8:30am-4pm

Rate of pay:

Grid Level 10

Location:

Administration / Housing

Requirements:

Completion of Grade 10 education. Completion of related vocational training such building maintenance course. Minimum 2 years recent related experience. Current First Aid, current criminal record check, negative TB test result. Valid class 5 BC drivers’ license.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills:

Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to be organized, flexible and work with minimal supervision. Ability to perform carpentry, electrical, painting, mechanical and plumbing maintenance, and repairs. Monitoring of work performed by contractors, preparation of estimates of labour and material costs. Completion of related records. Transportation of equipment, supplies etc. External cleaning, minor gardening.
