2019 3rd & 4th QUARTER TRAINING SCHEDULE (INTERNAL)

 

 

SEPTEMBER

COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKER – Supporting Adults with Developmental Disabilities, Certificate Program

 

This intensive 13 week program is offered through Community Living College. The fall session, set to start September 09, 2019 will take place on a full time basis (20 hours per week). A full course calendar is available for pick up at CRADACL administration office (see Darcey or Cheryl) or on-line at www.cradacl.bc.ca (click on the college tab). Current CRADACL employees are eligible to take this program at greatly reduced cost.

Please note: The Community Support Worker Program is modular in design; seats are available, (at no cost) within each module, for current CRADACL supervisors or employees wishing to audit/attend one specific module.

 

 

 

 

Full Day Program.  Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is a safe, non-harmful behaviour management system designed to aid human service professionals in the management of disruptive and assaultive people. The goal is to provide staff with the skills and techniques necessary to intervene in a manner that provides for the care, welfare, safety and security of all involved in the situation. This full-day program is intended for those that have never taken this training. Mandatory for all new employees

Date: Thursday September 26, 2019

Time: 9am – 4pm

Place: Classroom, 301 Dogwood

Cost: $35 (covers cost of the workbook)

*** Please note payment is due the day of the course. Cash or cheque payable to CRADACL is accepted. Receipts will be issued as this cost is reimbursable upon completion of probationary period

 

OCTOBER

 

NEW EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION

                                                            

*** 2-DAY SESSION - This is mandatory training for all new employees. The intent of this training is to review Association policies & procedures and on-call procedures. There will be discussion and practice on observation & documentation, values, ethics, confidentiality and positive, respectful workplace behavior.

 

Date: Wednesday October 9th & Friday October 11th

Time: 9am – 3pm

Place: Classroom, 301 Dogwood St.

Cost: No cost

 

DECEMBER

No internal workshops are currently scheduled for December 2019.

Time is available for supervisors to schedule customized trainings for their staff. Please contact Michelle Albrecht to make arrangements.

Unless otherwise indicated, workshops are offered at no cost to CRADACL employees. Seating is limited to 20 people per session.
